curry goat, lobster and the aroma of mountain-bean
coffee brewed fresh every morning.
Not surprisingly, the owners of SANDY ROSE, professional
caterers, designed the villa around its huge, open
gathering point: a very welcoming kitchen and dining
room that open out through French doors to sunny verandahs
and views of the pool & sea.
It's here that you'll really feel the warmth and
the welcome of Ena Clarke and Christopher "Bunny"
Ebanks, your staff at the new SANDY ROSE.
Set back from a quiet countrylane -- a "back
road" that meanders from Calabash Bay through
Billy's Bay to Fort Charles and eventually on to Black
River -- SANDY ROSE offers you a relaxing holiday
away from commercial tourism.
Start your day in the sun on the
second floor terrace -- or on the shaded portico and
terrace on the ground floor. Catch Jamaican news on
the tv or slide a CD or DVD into the players, while
Ena cooks you a hearty Jamaican breakfast.
Take a swim in the private pool,
a full-size 32 foot pool. You'll find chairs, tables,
chaises -- even hammocks for a snooze in a grove of
trees.
Ready to Explore? Jump on one of
of the 3 mountain bikes (2 helmets) provided for guest
use at the villa. Or rent a moped from Gary Books
located in Calabash Bay.
Fort Charles beach is a 15 minute
ride in one direction from Billy's Bay beach; its
fishers' landing and beach shack bar is a 10 minute
ride in the opposite direction.
Sandy Rose accommodates 2 guests, a large family
or group of up to 12 guests very comfortable accomodations
in a brand new villa with pool.
There are 2 fully-equipped kitchens, one on each
floor; 2 living-dining rooms; and 2 spacious verandahs.
