Driftwood - Treasure Beach, Jamaica

Away from resortland on Jamaica's non-touristy South Coast, DRIFTWOOD is hidden away in Great Bay, probably the least known and most secluded of all the 5 villages that make up Treasure Beach.

Fifteen minutes from Calabash Bay, a private drive leads off the main, through a field of blue-flowering lignum vitae trees and rose bougainvillea to a beachfront villa the color of a ripe Julie or East Indian mango.
Like Diamond Head in Hawaii, the view alone is spectacular -- through coconut palms over green lawns that stretch to the ocean's edge to Great Pedro Bluff beyond.
If you've ever dreamt of living the life of a carefree beachcomber, DRIFTWOOD is your kind of world away from it all.

Up to 6 guests -- 3 couples or a group of family and friends -- are all very comfortably accomodated here in 3 ceiling-fanned bedrooms, each with private bath. Master bedroom with kingsize antique mahogany Jamaican four-poster and oval-mirrored antique dresser. Second bedroom with double & twin. Third bedroom with 2 twins. The central living room opens through folding shutters directly out to the oceanview verandah. Enjoy Jamaican country-style meals prepared by your cook, Marie, inside in a breakfast nook, outside on the verandah or on a vine-covered arbor terrace. Laze on the chaises. Then, stroll down the lawn thru the gate to 100 yards of sandy beach and calm waters; a second wide sandy beach with good swimming is an easy 5 minute stroll away. Including live-out cook/ housekeeper, DRIFTWOOD is very comfortable and very well-priced for couples, groups or families.

Sweet, private beachfront 3 bedroom/3 bath villa hidden away in Great Bay, 15 min. from Jake's and Calabash Bay. Cook/housekeeper, caretaker. Sleeps 1-6.Very well-priced for couples, friends and families.
